Christmas is coming and we’re sharing in the festive mood with our online Advent Calendar. Celebrating 24 days of female creativity, power and entrepreneurship we’ve teamed up with local female run businesses to bring you some amazing prizes. Regular classes will take a break over Christmas but there’s plenty of opportunity to keep on dancing in our winter workshops. From Isis wings to shimmy technique, American Tribal Style or an introduction to Chinese dance, try something new and keep warmed up for a great start in 2019 with KP1 (oriental pop).

SALSA ORIENTAL FUSION & KHALEEGY PERFORMANCE PROJECT

Join ALIA in her collaboration with salsa dancer Alessandra Patti in a high energy workshop fusing Belly dance and Salsa, exploring technique from both styles and combining them in a short choreography. 

Or come and let your hair and Thobe (Khaleegy dress) fly in the feminine and joyful dance Khaleegy, to be performed at the ZeoT show on June 22nd 2019. Exploring the movement of the sea, water and wave forms ALIA will create a modern group choreography in the Khaleegy* style. There will be room for solos and group dances in this choreography based on the experience of the dancers, enabling dancers of all levels to participate.


TARAB // CONCERT WITH ADEL SALAMEH, ZAHER ASSAF & FIRAS HASSAN. Dance ALIA

Join Adel Salameh (oud), Zaher Assaf (violin), and Firas Hassan (percussion) for an evening of music and dance. Traditional and original compositions will be performed by the trio in the studios of Zentrum für orientalische Tanzkunst (ZeoT) with dance by Alia.

BELLY DANCE TEACHER FURTHER EDUCATION!

Do you want to teach Oriental dance, but don't know where to start?

You’re already teaching, but don't feel secure when giving corrections?

You’re a dance teacher and would like to make the most of your potential?


ZeoT's Further Education for belly dance teachers will fill your teaching toolbox and give you a clear structure which you can use to teach oriental dance. Different ways of correcting posture, how to create choreography for the class or semester planning are on the program as well as valuable inputs from experts from Body Conditioning, Yoga, Franklin method, ballet and humour training. The course involves ‘live’ teaching experience in an introductory course and begins in September 2019.
